When I was watching s06 while it was airing, even though I loved to have more Community, I had very mixed feelings too (that's why it always surprises me so many people like it much more than I would expect). But with the hindsight of watching the whole series and also with rewatches and watching reactors, I like it much better/there's more I like.
And I think what's good about Community, is that it often stays away from routine, and that's why I think the Dean doesn't wear the costumes or Magnitude didn't say Pop pop. It gets tropey and old after a while. (Also if you want to see more of Magnitude's actor, check out Galavant, it's super funny, musical, fantasy comedy :D). It was great to see a lot of the side characters more!

thank you for Galavant. I need to check that out. yeah I agree with you. Listen Community as a whole is a GREAT show. Season 6 is just good to me. Aint nothing wrong with being good. It's incomparable to the perfection that was every episode that included the full cast. That would be an impossible task. Like there is NO way they could have done it.

Fun fact: there actually is a great SciFi movie shot in just 3 days with a budget of roughly 50k.... "Coherence (2013)" - sadly no reactions at all, so far?!! (At least some prices and great ratings/reviews)

There's an even more profound sci-fi movie shot for around 7k, "Primer" (2004). Although they took a month.

I think of Season 6 as the season we are lucky to have at all. It's got some funny moments, and I like both Elroy and Frankie, but it's not my favorite either. That said, I do think the last four episodes (after Grifting 101, sorry) are the best of the season. Most importantly, I think they stick the landing with an excellent finale.

I agree. I think if I watched this series when it was airing I would look at season 6 differently. It's still good. It just had A LOT to live up to. Elroy is the freaking BEST. lol.

See, I liked it as a fake out of writing a character out of the show. Given the show was hemorrhaging characters it was a nice subversion. As for you wanting the best for Chang. I don't really get it. He's consistently a terrible person.

oh i know he's terrible and been terrible. BUT the group are just as terrible and it would have worked perfectly that one terrible person that the group never wanted to embrace would have got a win, and the group would have been jealous. that's pretty much it.

IMHO, it is not a particularly memorable episode. :) Abed pops out of the frisbees saying "Bazinga!" in a reference to Big Bang Theory.

not many memorable episodes so far in season 6 though I already watched the next one for Patreon and THAT one was good. Mainly because of Matt Berry.
